The French have long since influenced fashion. Now reaching the the U.S. markets after its debut at Maison Objet in 2009 is a new style statement called Industrial Chic. It is an eclectic blend of of old and new.  I love the juxstaposition of wood with a patina and the glossiness of white. 

 Iconic to this style is the fabrics with a rough hewn characteristic and contrasting black script. It combines romance with the nostalgia in a modern way.  Key elements include the use of factory or industrial artifacts. 

It has an organic feel that is casually elegant in typical French fashion. Vive La France!
