They say history is bound to repeat its self and it is not surprising that in challenging times we look back to the good ol days with a certain fondness and sense of nostalgia. 

So it didn't surprise me when recently the spring apparel show revealed some color and style sensibilities (the dress on the right is new for spring 2011)  from the by gone days of companies like Peck & Peck, which forever influenced my sense of style and fashion from my days working in their store in the Water Tower Place in Chicago during my college days.  It seems like yesterday, but today what was old is new again! The dress on the left is vintage Peck & Peck.  We will see more style direction with classic overtones....it is timeless, elegant and sophisticated and who doesn't love this pop of color for spring!
