We are connected with each other through work and the internet on global scale.  We can even help people abroad by purchasing products in our own community.  The napkin rings on this table scape were made by women in Africa.  A friend of mine was selling these amusing little animals and donating the proceeds back to these women to provide capitol for them to grow their businesses.
