It won't be long now before this blanket of snow recedes.
The laughter from the kids sledding down the side of the hill will soon be
replaced by the sound of laughter coming from our deck.
Parents linger around the tapas, while my husband prepares the grill.  Kids will run
in and out to either check on their parents, or grab a cold drink from the fridge.  We will
lean over the deck to watch them slip and slide down the hill and more laughter fills the back yard.
Backyard living is life well spent.
